With our great schools, vibrant cities, golden beaches and breath-taking countryside we've got lots to offer you and with residential property half of London prices and investment in redevelopment, why not choose the best of both worlds and look for a job in Kent.
Making the Garden of England the perfect place to live and work.
With the English Channel and the Straits of Dover to the south, the North Sea and the Thames Estuary to the north, popular beauty spots such as Margate, the Isle of Sheppy and, of course, the world-famous White Cliffs of Dover. Kent contains many well-known towns & cities, including the historic city of Canterbury with its iconic cathedral, plus many lesser-known but charming towns and villages. These urban areas are encircled by the stunning surroundings of the countryside - rolling farmland, steep hills, woodlands, and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the form of the Kent Downs.
"As a Kent resident working with KCC, I get to be involved in the various capital projects commissioned by the county to ensure a better standard of living for the residents of Kent. Kent is a varied location from the coastal towns of Ramsgate and Folkestone, the Areas of Outstanding natural beauty in Sevenoaks & Tunbridge Wells, to the North Kent urban towns of Dartford and Gravesend; working and living in Kent is a wonderful experience!"
In some areas of Kent, you can be over 100km away from London but still get right to the centre in under 40 minutes. This makes it perfect for families, where busy city workers can quickly and conveniently commute to work in the bustling city, whilst bringing the children up in the more sedate, family-friendly surroundings of the countryside. You also have good motorway connections in Kent if you aren’t planning to just go to London, and even good connections with mainland Europe through the ferry in Dover or the Eurostar.
Kent boasts some of the best schools in the country, both private and state, including Tonbridge School, Benenden School, and Invicta Grammar School.
